Our Story
Lil Unicorn Academy adheres to a holistic approach of early childhood education. When we expose children to different environments and various learning experiences, we allow them to explore their self-awareness and gain a sense of the world around them. Once they leave our Early Childhood Education Center, they’re fully prepared for the next stage of their young lives.

We believe that children thrive in an environment which values their own uniqueness, while providing support and opportunities to grow emotionally, socially and creatively. Dr Kati Rintakorpi
Dr. Kati Rintakorpi (PhD., Kindergarten Teacher) from Laurea University of Applied Sciences Finland has a long experience as an ECEC teacher, manager, and entrepreneur.
During the past 10 years, she has been studying pedagogical documentation, assessment and development in early childhood education and training ECEC professionals and students in Finland and abroad.
Dr. Kati Rintakorpi is also the co-author of “This is our world / Tää on meidän maailma” -book (available in Finnish) about pedagogical documentation in early childhood education.

Taina is a professional adult educator with solid knowledge of different learning methods and practices. She has been working in the competence development area at both team and individual levels. She has been responsible for several projects where new practices and processes have been launched for groups of people. For the last four years, Taina has been working primarily in education technology and early education fields by providing early education professionals a pedagogical tool, TinyApp, to support their daily work with young children. Taina’s personal passion is to enable each adult working with young children to have the tools and knowledge to meet each child as an individual and make them feel unique and capable.

A pedagogical assistant for early childhood education with over 12,000 active users across the globe. From planning and evaluating pedagogical competencies for daycare groups and individual children to the day-to-day communication with parents, TinyApp has all the features for a comprehensive and collaborative learning experience at Lil' Unicorn.
